New nail varnish

                                 New nail varnishes!

I recently bought these little beauties from Boots (pharmacy/cosmetics store in the UK) and I absolutely adore them!! I have a huge weakness for Barry M nail varnishes as it is, but these new colours I found are my current faves.
I love all the plain colours Barry M do, and most are my staple pieces  when it comes to a quick polish, but when I discovered this mauve, brownish colour (second from left), I immediately was planning out outfits it would fit with. It's such a staple, simple yet unusual colour and I can't stop wearing it!! (341 Cappuccino 308 colour)
I also picked up some glitter pieces while I was out, and although I sometimes find Barry M's glitter varnishes harder to apply (I use more of a blobbing motion than a 'painting' on) I loved these colours. I often layer glitter varnishes over plain colours to add some sparkle to the pieces, and these glitter numbers had a lovely texture and the consistency of the speckles of glitter was great! These two colours (third from left and first on right) have slightly different texture between them, and both look great, and apply (with the blobbing motion) well, creating a smooth thick coverage. (third from left 354 Amethyst Glitter 305/ first from right 352 Pink Sapphire Glitter 308)
I picked up a new texture varnish whilst I was out, which at first I was quite unsure about (second from right). The idea of a textured nail varnish wasn't a new product to me, but I was extremely unsure how it would look. I decided to go for the baby pink colour, thinking that if the 'texture' idea wouldn't work, then the colour was lovely enough to be worn it's self (TNP 3 Kingsland Road 305). However I was pleasantly surprised with the small grain, sand like texture which surprisingly was easy to apply, and had a successful final finish.
The Seventeen nail varnish was a last minute impulse buy. I used a Boots voucher, and picked up this piece as it was cheap, and I was intrigued as to how good the product would be. I went for a simple colour to try out at first, and to evaluate the quality of the varnish. It is a lovely shade, and has a great little brush although it is a little stumpy; Is quick and easy to apply and although it does need a few coats, it's a fab little staple piece which was a great price and I would highly recommended for trips or holidays as it is the perfect size for a little make-up bag. It has a great glossy finish, and is a gem of a piece (Seventeen Quicker Slicker Colour, 10 NIGHTSHADE.
